Why did we switch from Hemp oil to MCT oil in our Full Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture?
Well, the answer is two-fold. First and foremost, instead of hemp seed oil, we use MCT oil in our new full spectrum CBD oil. MCT oil is an ingredient that serves as a superior carrier for cannabinoids, which are fat-soluble, so when they are infused in oil with a high-fat content (MCT oil is composed of fatty acids and contains about 90% saturated fat) the absorption is much more efficient. While this doesn't necessarily affect sublingual absorption, which is already very efficient, the high fat content helps carry the cannabinoids past the stomach and into the digestive tract where they can be absorbed at a much higher rate, increasing the CBD oil tincture's potency and effectiveness. Secondly, MCT oil tastes quite a bit better!
