Harvest Season at Tweedle Farms: Out of the Field

Posted by Tweedle Farms on Sep 22nd 2025

Harvest season has officially arrived at Tweedle Farms! Across our fields, CBD hemp plants are being chopped, hauled to the barn, and carefully bucked down for drying. For hemp farmers, this is the busiest—and most rewarding—time of year. It’s the culmination of months of work in the soil, and the first step toward delivering premium CBD flower to our customers.

The process is intense. Long days, sore nights, and sticky hands are the reality of harvest. But it’s worth it. Each plant represents not only a season of hard work but also the promise of flavorful, terpene-rich CBD flower that’s smooth, effective, and enjoyable to use.

The Hemp Drying and Curing Process

After harvest, our flower moves into the drying barn. Drying removes excess moisture, preventing mold and preserving cannabinoids. But while drying is important, it’s only the beginning.

The most critical stage comes next: the cure. Curing hemp flower is what transforms good flower into great flower, and it’s where Tweedle Farms’ dedication to quality really shines.

Why Proper Curing Matters

  • Chlorophyll Breakdown: When hemp is cured slowly, chlorophyll degrades naturally, removing harshness and eliminating grassy flavors.

  • Balanced Moisture Levels: A gradual cure prevents brittle, over-dried buds and ensures flower burns evenly or vaporizes cleanly.

  • Preserved Terpenes & Cannabinoids: Terpenes and cannabinoids are delicate compounds that give CBD flower its aroma, flavor, and effects. Controlled curing locks them in, keeping flower potent and aromatic for months.

Without proper curing, even high-quality hemp can end up tasting harsh or losing effectiveness. That’s why we put so much emphasis on this stage of the process.

Vault-Cured CBD Flower at Tweedle Farms

At Tweedle Farms, all of our hemp is cured in a temperature- and humidity-controlled vault. This state-of-the-art environment allows us to fine-tune conditions for the perfect cure.

By keeping temperature and humidity at optimal levels, we create a stable environment where terpenes and cannabinoids are preserved, chlorophyll breaks down slowly, and flower develops the rich aroma and smooth profile our customers expect from premium CBD flower.

This isn’t the fastest way to cure, but it’s the right way. The result is CBD hemp flower that’s flavorful, smooth, and long-lasting—flower that truly reflects the best of the 2025 harvest.
